The Homeless Prevention Activities Program Fund raises money to prevent homelessness for households across the state. These funds are awarded as grants by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs Division of Housing to local agencies. They provide assistance to households who are at risk of becoming homeless due to circumstances beyond their control and who are unable to remain in their homes without some level of short-term, temporary assistance.
Since its inception in 1989, Colorado taxpayers have generously contributed to the Homeless Prevention Activities Program Fund, enabling emergency assistance to be distributed to those most in need throughout Colorado. In 2016, the Homeless Prevention Activities Program Fund distributed just over $81,000 to individuals and families to prevent homelessness.

Please consider helping us this year as we continue to support to those in need! No amount is too small – every donation goes a long way toward helping our neighbors throughout Colorado.
