Instead of climbing jungle gyms, building sand castles or tossing around a ball, Colorado children with life-threatening medical conditions spend their time swallowing medicine, receiving shots and resting in hospital beds. For these children, a wish experience eclipses illness to bring hope, strength and joy. This tax season, you have the ability to share the power of a wish simply by making a contribution to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Colorado on your state tax return.
Since 1983, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado has granted nearly 3,600 wishes to eligible Colorado children, including the wish of Jesus who wished to be a charro.
The Colorado chapter is part of the largest wish-granting organization in the world, with more than 60 chapters in the United States and its territories, along with 27 international affiliates on five continents. Through its mission of providing hope, strength and joy, Make-A-Wish estimates a positive impact on more than 300,000 individuals each year.
Make-A-Wish Foundation finances its endeavors through corporate sponsors, foundations, service clubs, fundraisers and individual contributions. Make-A-Wish is not funded by United Way, nor does it receive any government funding. The Foundation makes the magic of wishes happen thanks to community-minded corporations, groups and individuals.
